These series are for all levels of weavers.  Clear instructions for new weavers, make your piece as elaborate as you’d like for more advanced weavers.  Bring your own loom or rent one of our Kromski Rigid Heddle Looms.

Weaving Series 1

October 2

Learn to dress the loom.  We will be dressing a rigid heddle loom to 5” wide, 2 yards long, 8 ends per inch (EPI ).     This set up can be used for the entire series of classes.

Learn how to wind the weft yarn into balls.

Learn to draw your pattern for a Tapestry Weave.

October 9: 

                  Weave your Tapestry Pattern.

October 16:

RYA Weaving - Rya weaving is a traditional Scandinavian knotting technique used to create textured fringe, plush pile rugs, and decorative wall hangings.  We will be adding this to your current piece.

October 23:

Continue weaving with all different techniques to finish the pattern you designed.

October 30:

Finish your piece learning different finishing techniques.
