The maker
From Bellingham to Kitty Hawk.
Kate Burge-Tibi and Rachel Price started Spincycle in 2004 as a two-person handspinnery, kettle-dyeing and spinning small batches to sell at the Bellingham farmers' market. They later persuaded a small local mill to help them make a millspun yarn with the look of their handspun, and grew the business into a mill and dye house with a team of more than twenty.
